Tips To Get Started With Your Dirt Biking Adventure

If you’re new to dirt biking adventure & wish to get started on the right foot, here are some good tips to help you get going.

Dirt bike clutches aren’t like the clutch on a car:

All dirt bikes come equipped with a clutch and you will need to practice using it each time you change gears until it becomes a habit. A dirt bike clutch is quite different from a cars clutch. A dirt bike’s clutch is multi-plated & sits in a pool of oil. It is all right to grab your clutch & pull it in a bit to slow down prior to a turn, and you aren’t really in danger of damaging your bike. You definitely would not wish to half-press the clutch all the time, but you can make use of it more than one when you are driving an old truck. The other significant difference is that you don’t need the clutch to shift down gears on a dirt bike. When switching gears, you need the clutch every time, though.
